I’m so excited to share this Redhook, NY maternity session with you today! When Jannett reached out about having a mother-daughter maternity session, I just couldn’t wait to work with them! Mommy and me sessions are just some of the most precious memories and then to have it tied in with maternity photos before a new addition comes into the family is just even more amazing.
Red Hook, NY | Maternity Session
This day was beautiful for a warm July day in New York’s Hudson Valley. Blue skies and we almost had the whole place to ourselves for the first part of our session! I first met the Dinsmores when I worked in childcare and when I first met little Nora she was only a little over a year old! Trish and I always talked about Nora’s beautiful eye lashes because she has the BEST lashes we ever saw on a baby!! To see how big she has grown and how she has blossomed into the sweetest little girl who isn’t afraid to share her ideas and explore all of the little things in this garden we visited was just such a gift.
Nora came ready to model for me, so much so that she even had some great ideas of her own throughout our session. She loved the idea of walking down the steps like a princess! And can we just pause for a moment to shout out how beautiful Jannett looked throughout the entire session?! Seriously, from her outfit to her adorable baby bump, she was glowing! We started outside of the garden and used that gorgeous mountain view. When we finally got to go into the garden it was like music to Nora’s ears because she was so excited to look for some butterflies! Who could blame her?! We ended our time with some silly faces, finding some treasures dropped by the trees and Nora inviting Trish and I to have ice cream with her!
From Jannett’s white dress and Nora’s mint-like outfit to the butterflies and the flowers this session has been a dream come true for me. The cherry on top was getting to experience it with the sweetest mother-daughter duo! To the Dinsmore Family, thank you so much for allowing me to capture these precious memories for you! You both are so sweet, and it was great getting to know you guys better. I can’t wait to see your newest addition and watch you all continue to grow together!
