Mohonk Mountain House, New Paltz, NY Family Session | Hudson Valley Photographer | Hammons Family

This session was at such a dream location!

When Julie reached out to me to take some portraits of her family while on vacation at the Mohonk Mountain house, I knew we were in for a super fun family photo session! I haven't photographed a session at Mohonk in a few years so it was just an absolute treat to be able to be back at this amazing location with such a great family.

If you’ve never been to (or heard) of the Mohonk Mountain house, I highly recommend visiting! It’s a favorite here in New Paltz, NY. From the gorgeous mountain views, blooming gardens, hikes (especially the one up to Skytop tower), this lakeside castle-like hotel is something out of a storybook!

This location wasn’t just another beautiful pick for a family session. Mohonk holds some really special memories for the Hammons family. The best part? Is that they get to share this dreamy place and it's memories with their son!

Speaking of Hudson, he’s SUCH a sweet boy. So kind and after a few minutes, was READY to take photos with me! What else could a photographer ask for?!

With so many pretty spots, it was hard to choose but we chose a few locations that really capture the feel of their Mohonk Mountain House vacation: lakeside with a view of the mountain house, in the Mohonk Gardens and on an awesome hiking path that had a view of Skytop Tower (this is the tower New Paltz is well-known for! You can see it from so many places around town!).

We took our time moving from place to place and the Hammons showed us a path with a different view of the lake + Skytop that I haven't seen before!
