Are you unsure of where to begin when it comes to choosing an outfit for your next photo session? Not sure which colors or patterns will look nice on camera?

Not to worry, I’ve got you covered! Here’s a list of some of my favorite photo shoot dresses to help you get started. The best part about the dresses in this post, is that I chose styles that can flatter all body shapes + sizes!

When picking the perfect dress for your Hudson Valley photo session, be sure to keep these tips in mind:

1. Location: What kind of setting will your photo session take place? The Vanderbilt Mansion gardens in Hyde Park? Some open fields in New Paltz? or somewhere along the Beacon or Poughkeepsie waterfront? Which ever you choose, pick a dress that compliments your location.
2. Color: What color theme are you going for? Neutrals? Blues? Warm tones? Keep in mind that the dress you choose should compliment not only your color scheme, but your skin tone as well.
3. Comfort: Select a dress that makes you feel confident, comfortable, and reflects your personality. The most important thing is to be yourself and stay true to your style when choosing a dress for your photo shoot.
