I'm so glad you're ready to start planning your photo session outfits! Photoshoots can be a little stressful, especially when it comes to choosing the right outfits!

From choosing outfits for yourself, your kids and even your spouse, it can be a lot like putting a life-size puzzle together. The color of your outfits have a HUGE impact on the look and feel of your photos. Outfit colors are the biggest thing you as the client can do to ensure your photos have that light and airy feel to them!

I know just how many options there are when it comes to picking the right colors for your outfits.

That's why I wanted to created this blog post where you'll find some of my favorite color combos for your next photo session!

• Stay away from black. Dark colors are harsh and draw your eye right to them. Opt for a lighter grey or tan instead of black.

• Choose pastels. Pastels are soft and really add to the timeless look.

• Think simple. Stick to one pattern. Anymore than one can make your photos feel busy and distract from the most important part of your photos- YOU!



• Simple pop of color. If you’re looking for a little more bold color, pick one person to wear a brighter color (yellow, bold pink etc) and have everyone else stick to neutrals or soft complimenting color.

Remember:

When picking outfits, be sure to ultimately choose something you're comfortable in and something that will be timeless for years to come! Be sure to choose outfits you'll LOVE 10 years down the road! If you're unsure of which options will work best, your photographer is a great resource to help to narrow down your final options.
